⚽ Tiigsi Football Cup 2025
Participants: 8 Youth Teams
Tiigsi Initiative organized a large-scale football tournament in Hargeisa, bringing together 20 youth teams from across the city. The purpose was more than just sports, it was to promote peace and raise awareness about the dangers of irregular migration. By using football as a unifying and educational tool, we gave young people a positive alternative to hopelessness and risky decisions.
💼 Entrepreneurship Program for Women
Location: Hargeisa & surrounding areas
Participants: 50 Women
This project supported 50 women through a structured entrepreneurship program that included business skills training, mentorship, and startup capital. Many participants launched small businesses from tailoring to food stall and are now contributing to their household income and financial independence. The project focused on empowering women as economic drivers in their communities.

The Tiigsi Initiative Football Cup brought our neighborhood together. It wasn’t just about playing—it taught us teamwork, respect, and gave us something positive to look forward to.
I was seriously thinking about going to Libya like some of my friends, but after attending Tivo’s awareness sessions, I realized how dangerous and uncertain it is. I’m now focused on building a life here, with real opportunities.
Before joining Tiigsi’s Soft Skills training program, I had no clear path. Now, I know how to write CV’s and apply jobs and even help others. Tiigsi didn’t just teach me a skill, they gave me a chance to help others.
